August 2017 NSF Funded Proposal
The NSF's Division of Biological Infrastructure is funding the acquisition of a Leica STED microscope through a major research instrumentation award to Ullal, Travis, Cole, Pryschchep and Mazurkiewicz. This effort to create a super resolution resource in the New York capital region was spearheaded by Dr. Marimar Lopez.

November 2016 NSF CAREER Award
Prof. Ullal has been awarded a Faculty Early Career Development Award (CAREER) from the National Science Foundation's Division of Materials Research. The five-year award will fund work that integrates research, teaching, outreach and mentoring around elucidating nanoscale structure-property relationships in polymer gels using cutting edge materials characterization tools including 'super-resolution' microscopy.
